Some research that was recently performed within the CELESE program has been featured in the news. Emmanuel Manalo, Chris Sheppard, and Kyoko Watanabe talked about their research on the question of whether language structure affects critical thinking skills (first reported at the 2013 annual meeting of the Cognitive Science Society in Berlin). Their research is explained in a Waseda press release (in Japanese) and was featured on the MyNavi news web site (in Japanese). Chris and Emmanuel also met with the New Zealand Minister for Tertiary Education, Hon. Steven Joyce, during his recent visit to the Waseda University TWIns program (in Japanese).
