Japanese Scientists

The following audiovisual materials are based on portions of Communication Strategies 1 and Communication Strategies 2 textbooks (by Sheppard et al 2017). For each of several well-known Japanese scientists, a short reading passage is provided, read aloud at both a normal and slow speed. Also, worksheets are provided for practice and review.

Notes (March, 2025): It seems that the links to the audio files are not working, probably because the university’s system that stored the files is no longer in use. The original audio files have been recovered from that system and uploaded to the CS1 Sample Course on Moodle, which is accessible only to teachers.
